Every March, my wife, my two kids, and myself fill out NCAA tourny brackets as our own little group. None of us really know anything about basketball (especially college basketball) so it’s actually way more fair than you would think…the winner gets to pick a place for the whole family to go to dinner (and if it’s one of the kids, they also get $5 as an extra reward).
This is the third year we are doing it…the first year I won, last year my wife barely edged out one of the kids…this year it’s looking good for Brady (our youngest) so far…but I’m holding out for a come from behind victory for myself.
Anyway - it’s a bit of a silly thing we do, but it’s also one of those little traditions that I’ve come to really enjoy and look forward to doing each year with the family…and I hope that we can continue it for years to come (in my head I’ve already expanded it to eventually include girlfriends/wives/significant others and grandchildren; but for now I’ll just try to enjoy it while they are still just kids).
