We are all frauds...

If you don’t feel like a fraud in what you are doing (or trying to do) at least a little every day, then you aren’t pushing yourself enough.

Worse, you aren’t learning enough.

Sure it’s stressful worrying that you might be ‘exposed’ any minute and that you might not be able to pull if off this time…but a healthy amount of stress helps you to focus and keeps you closer to peak performance levels.

Of course that doesn’t mean you should be a total fraud…but instead to just use it as a tool to “fake it until you make it”…and each time you “make it”, push the goal a bit further out. Reach higher.

The moment you stop pushing the goal out, it’s time to get out of the game and go enjoy what the rest of life has to offer (and there are a lot of great things still left to enjoy out there).

This is the personal blog of Kevin Marshall (a.k.a Falicon) where he often digs into side projects he's working on for digdownlabs.com and other random thoughts he's got on his mind.

Kevin has a day job as CTO of Veritonic and is spending nights & weekends hacking on Share Game Tape. You can also check out some of his open source code on GitHub or connect with him on Twitter @falicon or via email at kevin at falicon.com.

If you have comments, thoughts, or want to respond to something you see here I would encourage you to respond via a post on your own blog (and then let me know about the link via one of the routes mentioned above).
